- Apply foundation on lip before applying lipstick, this way lipstick stays for a longer time. Using a lip liner can also make the lipstick stay for long.
- Matte lipsticks stay for a longer period of time as compared to gloss lipsticks
- For oily skin a foundation cream without lanolin is useful. You can also use a vanishing cream as foundation.
- Your foundation shou!d be as close to your natural skin tone as possible.
- Foundation should be a little darker than the shade of your natural complexion.
- Use a gentle soap like Dove for acne prone skin. It makes your skin a lot less oily because its PH balanced.
- Do not re-touch on a stale lipstick. It does not gives shine. Nor does it look even.
- Use a hair dryer for a few seconds on your eyelash curler.
- Use a clean blusher brush to blend, instead of the brush that you use for applying.
- To remove blackheads, steam for 5 mins and exfoliate immediately.
Some Skin Care Tips and Advice
- Always wash your hands clean first. This will prevent the transfer of bacteria to your face.
- Start with your hairline first, as hairstyling products attract dirt, and then sweep cleanser over face and lips and down the neck to beyond where you apply foundation.
- After you've applied your cleanser, gently massage it in with the balls of your fingers and leave it on for a minute or so to allow make-up to melt away. Then use a soft cotton ball to wipe away dirt, pollution, and cosmetic build-up without tugging at the skin.
- Then wash face clean with water and a good quality face wash so that all traces of dirt is gone and skin becomes perfectly clean.
